Social Media Case Studies

Rachel Allen Marketing has worked for a number of companies since 2015 supporting them with their social media and online presence. Clients and sectors all vary and include beauty, skincare, sun protection, recruitment and construction, however the objectives have always been the same:

  • Engage with target audiences via social media
  • Develop content to engage relevant target audiences using social media posts, images, videos, blogs
  • Use social media to support other online and offline marketing channels

 

Client 1

 

A niche beauty product, the founder of this business had some great publicity opportunities and wanted to maximise them, but had to run the rest of her business as well. She enlisted the support of Rachel Allen Marketing to help with her blog and to manage her social media profiles.

The Results

 

  •       The image above shows the Facebook followers before, during and after her appearance on Dragons’ Den, with followers increasing from 271 to 1,284.
  •      You can see that by engaging with relevant content specific to this product, engagement continued to grow after the initial campaign.

 

Client 2

 

A newly formed recruitment consultancy, the client wanted to blog through her website but didn’t have the time. She also knew that social media would help her to engage clients and candidates as well as improve her position in Google and other search engines.  Rachel supported her to grow her Facebook followers and launch a Twitter profile, plus blogged about key industry trends and events to drive traffic back to the website. 

 

Central to the success of the Facebook campaign was the introduction of an Exclusive Jobs Board, where candidates could post if they were looking for work or see the jobs before they were advertised elsewhere.  

 

As the client’s first birthday approached (March 2016), Rachel and the client ran a campaign to engage clients and candidates on site (this included branded give-aways and cake) and ran a social media campaign and competition to encourage new engagement.

 

The results

 

  •      During the campaign period, Facebook likes doubled from 250 to over 500. The page now has over 1500 Facebook followers and 481 Twitter followers
  • Both the page and the Group now have over 1,500 followers and the internal team are now able to manage both themselves through the guidance that Rachel provided
  • You can see that Facebook engagement has continued through regular blogging and posting about newsworthy items relating to the client’s industry

 

 

Client 3

 

A niche clothing and fashion brand with a medical emphasis, this client needed suppot to generate more sales through their website and to raise awareness of the products through social media.  It was important to engage with medical and health bodies, sharing their content and advice and interlacing sales and product messages with content that users would find relevant and helpful.

 

The Results

 

  •      During the peak summer holiday period, you can see that Likes to the Facebook page increased by 20% in less than a month.
  •      Facebook followers now stand at over 200 for this niche product which shows that an ongoing approach of providing relevant and engaging content will build a long-term social media following.
